Save the Date! The 2017 Mat-Su Salmon Science and Conservation Symposium will be November 8th and 9th at the Palmer Depot in Palmer, Alaska.
The Science Symposium is a forum to share information about salmon and their habitat in the Mat-Su Basin. Presentations span a wide range of topics — fish passage restoration projects on Mat-Su streams and assessment of their benefits to salmon; studies about geology, erosion, and salmon distribution on the Matanuska River; wetlands mapping and management; community assets planning; salmon distribution throughout the Mat-Su Basin; conservation of public lands; and more!
This year we’ll be celebrating 10 years of bringing people together to support thriving fish, healthy habitat and vibrant communities. We hope you’ll join us!
Registration and call for abstracts is open! Please consider sharing work you’ve been doing that benefits Mat-Su Salmon and their habitat. Register here.
Abstract submissions due October 5th, online registration closes October 27th.
Symposium information and updates will be posted on the Partnership website, facebook, and sent to the Partnership email list.
